“When was the last time he won a championship? What would he tell him? The game has changed, what would he tell him?” Ball said.

Ball also criticized Jordan for keeping LaMelo on the bench for the first 20 games of his rookie season.

“Who drafts the No. 3 pick and then doesn’t let them start? Tell me how that’s going to work? Give them some advice,” Bauer said.

While Bauer criticized Jordan, he was impressed with LaMelo’s development.

“I think Melon has adapted to the NBA game better than any of us thought he would early in his career. He’s exceeded our expectations so far this season,” Bauer said.
